WASME believes that the Declarations are historical documents indicating perceptions and concern of SMEs over 30 years (1980-2010) and should be of interest to researchers, academicians, votaries and advocates of SMEs.


“The Bucharest Declaration” - Preparing SMEs for the Knowledge Based Economy: Adopted at World SME Convention - 16th International Conference on Small and Medium Enterprises (ICSME) at Bucharest, Romania on May 15-18, 2005.


“Abuja Declaration” - Promoting SMEs for Global Competitiveness: Adopted at the 15th International Conference on Small and Medium Enterprises (ICSME) held at Abuja, Nigeria on July 22, 2004.


“The Tel Aviv Declaration” - Opportunities for SMEs in a Globalised World: Innovative Policies and Programmes: Adopted at the 14th International Conference on Small and Medium Enterprises (ICSME) at Tel Aviv, Israel on September 15-18, 2003.


“Changzhou Statement” - Adopted at the World Convention on SMEs 2002 at Changzhou, China on September 18-21, 2002.
