Dr. Gyan Prakash Agarwal

A highly accomplished professional with extensive expertise in accounting, finance, legal and organizational leadership. With over three decades of diverse experience, he has consistently demonstrated excellence in promoting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) on global platforms as Secretary General, World Association for Small & Medium Enterprises (WASME) through advocacy, international collaboration, International Conferences, partnerships and collaboration and innovative initiatives for MSME development. Under his leadership, WASME has gained consultative status with multiple UN bodies including ECOSOC, UNCTAD, UNIDO, WIPO, ILO, UNESCO and other international organisation across the globe. He is also the Managing Editor, WASME MSME News He has held numerous important leadership positions, such as Senior Partner, MEGA & Associates, Chartered Accountants, Delhi, Legal & Financial Advisor, Multiple Associations and Unions (Honorary) and received awards from the Northern India Regional Council of ICAI for Best Auditor (1993–1994) and Social Excellence (1994–1995). In 2007, while in Seoul, the Ministry of Information and Communication, Republic of South Korea, honored him with a postal stamp issued in his name. His outstanding social service has led CA Cooperative Thrift & Credit Society Ltd Delhi as its Secretary since 1992, fostering financial empowerment among its 1,500+ members through loans totaling ₹7.0 crores and funding cultural and athletic events at Purva Sanskrit Kendra and Yamuna Sports Complex, as well as the International Association of Lion's Club, Delhi.

Mr. Vijay Kumar

WASME family is honoured to welcome Mr. Vijay Kumar as its new Director General. He has been the Officer on Special Duty (OSD)/Adviser in Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (Govt. of NCT of Delhi), New Delhi, since 1st September 2020 to 31st March, 2023 for promotion and Development of MSMEs. He joined Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India as the Development Commissioner (MSME) in 1988. He has worked in close coordination with National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council (NMCC), an autonomous body of Ministry of Commerce, government of India, where he formulated schemes and their guidelines in the areas of manufacturing, Quality Control, Testing, Marketing, Export Promotion, Innovation, IPR and Skill Development. He has developed guidelines on various schemes dealing with Procurement and Marketing Support, Cluster Development and Industrial Infrastructure Development, setting up of mini tool rooms, Export Promotion (International Cooperation Scheme) Public Procurement Policy, setting up of Business Incubators in Technical Institutes/Universities, Enterprise Development Centre in colleges, Universities, ITIs and Technical Training programmes, Quality Control, Testing of Products. He has helped Implemented Innovations, Entrepreneurship and Emerging Technologies schemes in Mechanical Sector. He has assisted in setting up of Business Incubators and Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) in universities, colleges including associations.

Dr Sampa Banerjee

Ms. Sampa Banerjee is Executive Director of International organization, WASME having members, associates and offices in more than 100 countries of the World. She is also International Convener of All Africa Association for Small & Medium Enterprises (AAASME) headquartered in Byesala, Nigeria and has diverse experience of over 20 years in Entrepreneurship Development, Training, Faculty Development, Microfinance, Women Empowerment and Rural Industrialization. She is member of various prestigious associations and steering committees, Civil Societies, Ministries including TECOS, COHANDS, NFAC, etc. She is a visiting Faculty of different reputed Govt./Non Govt. organization like NIESBUD, University of Delhi, IMT, JIMS, IMS etc. She is also Honorary Secretary of national level NGO, SAVE. Through her commended work in Microfinance, She has empowered more than 70,000 people through creation of Micro Enterprises/SHGs. She has also been awarded by Hon'ble President of India in 2009 for her outstanding achievements for overall development of Society. M. Phil from University of Delhi, India, Ms. Sampa Banerjee has done extensive National and International Training, Capacity Building, workshops, R&D activities in India and overseas.

Ms. Archana Sharma

Archana Sharma is a postgraduate student at IIT Delhi studying mathematics. She has over 20 years of experience working with SMEs and start-ups in a variety of industries, such as engineering, education, IT, telecom and aviation. She has expertise in business communications, networking and program management. She has been actively involved in the development and promotion of MSMEs in African, Asian and Latin American countries for more than a decade through WASME's core initiatives, which include the Business and Technology Exchange Program, Trade delegations, B2B dialogues, networking and liaison with various chambers of commerce and industries, MSME Promotion Agencies, Ministries, governmental bodies, non-governmental organizations, international organizations and other stakeholders. She plays a crucial role in organizing and transforming the organization's objectives into a strategic business development plan.
